Description
Bowtie Media is a boutique social media strategy agency that is looking to expand! We provide social media content and strategy for small businesses around the Bay Area and US.
The Role
The candidate will be mentored on social media, with a focus on meeting community engagement goals and learning how to get important messages out to the masses for our clients. They will help grow and monitor our customer's social media channels and engage with these verticals using social media tools while supervised. The role requires 15-20 hours a week of social media work, emails, and monthly calls.
Duties
- Assist with creating and designing engaging monthly content calendars on various channels: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.
- Schedule content on Later or current content scheduler/publisher.
- Help brainstorm fun ideas to implement in social.
- Help engage online communities through our social platforms.
- Build email templates on Mailchimp
- SEO Optimization
- Paid Ads
- Assist with identifying influencers.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must be actively enrolled at an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level. Preferred Degrees: Marketing, Communications, and Social Media Management.
- At least 2 years of experience in social media to meet organization or business goals.
Knowledge
- Social networking
- User of social media channels.
- Understanding of social trends and general marketing concepts.
Skills
- Design (Adobe CC, Canva, or interest to learn)
- Mailchimp and email marketing
- eCommerce
- SEO Optimization
- Paid Advertising Creation and Re-Targeting
- Microsoft Office / Google Docs
- Social Media Management Tools like Later, Hootsuite & Buffer
- Tech-savvy - ability to learn new platforms.
- Video
- Photography

- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet requirements for timeliness and accuracy
