Handles claims in a timely manor by reviewing, analyzing, investigating and determining benefits. Also handles the larger, or more complex, claims beyond the authorization limits of the Associate Claim Analyst.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Hourly Wage (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
- Special Risk Claim Analyst: Minimum: $18.25 MidPoint: $21.43 Maximum: $24.60, plus annual bonus opportunity.
- Sr Special Risk Claim Analyst: Minimum: $19.75 MidPoint: $24.95 Maximum: $30.15, plus annual bonus opportunity.
- 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
- Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023.
- Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on the start date.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Analyze, evaluates and determines benefits for larger dollar or more complex claims in accordance with policy provisions and government regulations
- Initiates payment or denial of claims via the claims system when all claim-related questions are resolved, according to policy provisions.
- Communicates with external and internal customers to obtain specific claim information in order to finalize pending claims and to explain claim handling.
- May handle manual or more routine adjustments to claims.
- May provide various reports to internal and external customers.
- Must meet predetermined productivity and quality standards.
- Actively participates in the identification and implementation of process improvements.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Experience with the application of policies, practices, and procedures in a business environment
- Working knowledge of corporate products and government regulations regarding claim handling
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, while utilizing analytical and decision making skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- May require ability to travel occasionally
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance in adherence to department and company attendance expectations

- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Experience as a Claim Analyst or other claims environment.
