General Summary
The Senior POM Specialist operates as a liaison between internal buying teams and external vendor partners, handling the execution and communication of purchase order creation and maintenance. The Senior POM Specialist supports the organization through advanced problem solving, team mentoring, and business projects supporting Customers, Brands, and Speed (CBS).
Reports to: Sr. Buyer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently owns purchase order processing and receiving issues through research and partnership with cross-functional teams for multiple product categories (Stores, Shoephoria, Distribution Center, Traffic Department, Planning, Vendors, IT, and Buying).
- Supports POM Specialists and cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and resolving elevated issues relating to Jesta, MMP, UPCs, and EDI.
- Utilizes business acumen, systems, and process knowledge to act as team lead for CBS initiatives.
- Develops and maintains training documentation on current and/or new processes for the Purchase Order Management team.
- Manages exception and compliance reporting to drive POM efficiencies and innovation.
- Exemplifies leadership by acting as a mentor, trainer, and analytical resource for POM Specialists
- Adheres to all processes for SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance through proper documentation and approvals.
Required Skills:
- Highly collaborative, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Sharepoint.
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, i.e., MicroStrategy.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment, balancing business needs and large teams effectively.
- Knowledge of retail metrics and MP&A lifecycle process.
- Demonstrates a passion for and curiosity of the retail landscape.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
- Previous experience in Purchase Order Management
- Well versed in Merchandise Management Systems.
- Working knowledge and advanced troubleshooting of UPCs and EDI.
