Staff Writer

A New York law firm seeks a skilled Staff Writer. As a core member of the marketing team, the Staff Writer will be responsible for researching personal injury topics, interviewing attorneys to collect valuable insight, and creating content to drive customer interest throughout various stages of the acquisition funnel. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, has a solid background in editorial work, and is meticulous when researching topics for long-form content pieces.

Primary duties include:

• Conduct in-depth research on personal injury topics, which include attorney interviews.
• Create long-form content for the website that addresses potential client needs.
• Revamp existing website pieces to improve helpfulness of the articles for potential clients.
• Work on other writing assignments on an as-needed basis, such as brochures and promotional firm copy for directories and other websites.
• Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by management.

Skills and qualifications:

• 0-5 years relevant experience
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong writing and grammar skills a must
• Strong attention to detail a must
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or relevant major

Compensation:

• Competitive base salary ($45,000 to $70,000), plus bonus
• Medical and dental benefits
• Eligibility for 401k after one year with the firm
