Responsible for all sales activities and results. Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals. Company is based in Tampa but job can be remote.
The Strategic Account Manager manages key accounts and territories; key OEM accounts; key Engineering Firms; Energy Service Companies (ESCOs); and other accounts developed and assigned due to business expansion. This role is meant to manage existing channels and develop new channels to grow the business. The strategic account manager is an integral part of Heat Pipe Technology's sales team, working with Applications Engineers and technical support from the factory.
Company is based in Tampa but job can be remote.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan, develop and execute a sales plan that aligns to company growth strategy.
- Meet and/or exceed sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers both within region and in unassigned areas.
- Develop and manage relationships with engineering firms in assigned or unassigned territories.
- Travel throughout region to support growth objectives of existing customers and to win new business.
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
- Build trust and rapport with colleagues, contributing to the overall enhancement of company culture.
- Work closely with manufacturer representatives to drive advancement of company offering and product penetration.
- Manage representative performance: set performance expectations; provide feedback; identify areas for improvement and provide training or facilitate technical training by HPT team; educate regarding opportunities seen in other territories. Assess territory market potential and develop, terminate, and/or recruit representatives to improve sales performance.
- Suggest new products, services, and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction, product penetration and engagement. Leverage feedback from representatives, Engineers, building owners and OEMs.
- Update job knowledge and comprehension by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
- Represents HPT to raise its profile in the industry. For example, ASHRAE events, Committees, Lunch and Learns to engineers etc.
- Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

- Understands the application of airside HVAC equipment, specifically air-to-air energy recovery, and use of custom AHUs in Laboratories, Hospitals, Schools, Hotels etc.

Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related discipline (required)
- 5+ years' of HVACR sales experience preferred
- Willingness to travel to develop relationships and win new business (estimated 50%+ time spent travelling)
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
- Marketing experience is a plus
