Job Summary
The Systems Analyst works as part of the IT Department’s Employee Owner Experience team to support Border States’ digital productivity and collaboration suite.
The Systems Analyst will communicate with internal/external partners to make sure all employee owners are able to leverage our suite of digital productivity/collaboration solutions. This role is responsible to facilitate discussions on how Border States can improve our operational excellence and enterprise-wide business processes. Develop business solutions with out of the box functionality, no code/low code solutions using industry best practices and knowledge of the future path of collaboration tools.
This role will promote the use of the tools to support company-wide collaboration and document efficiencies to help transform the way our employee owners think about and use technology. The Systems Analyst must champion the use of the tools to drive company-wide teamwork and help transform the way Border States thinks about and uses technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assists in defining, developing, and supporting Border States collaboration toolsIncludes but not limited to: Office365, SharePoint, Teams, Jira, ServiceNow
- Configure digital solutions utilizing out of the box features and functions for low code or no code solutions along with user documentation to describe new or enhanced functionality
- Collaborates with the business, development and other analysts to translate business needs to technical requirements, gives recommendations along with justification to stakeholders
- Ensures best practice operational processes are in place and adhered to including:Border States SharePoint Strategy
- Provides recommendations on improvements
- Provides technical analysis on business projects
- Recommends changes to policy and procedure
- Drives efficiencies through optimization and automation
- Trains users on tool features, functionality, and best practices
- Researches, recommends, and aids in implementation of emerging technologies and/or vendor solutions as they relate to company’s best practices.
- Performs off-hours support as needed

Qualifications
- 4 Year STEM Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to self-learn new and emerging technologies to deliver innovative solutions
- Knowledge of Office 365 tool set
- Ability to read, write and speak in English required.
- Prefer good working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Internet, and email.
