Tax Compliance Specialist

We work with clients throughout the US in a variety of industries. This position is hybrid and in Arlington Heights, IL. We are looking for a CPA with an outgoing personality to assist in the growth of our tax compliance department. This position requires the ability to prepare and/or review Federal and multi-state tax returns for closely-held corporations, S Corporations, partnerships, individuals, etc., and to be Proficient in QuickBooks with knowledge of Preparing Reviewed and Compilation Financial statements and to maintain and develop client relationships.

Essential Requirements:

· BS degree in Accounting or related discipline

· CPA

· 2+ years of accounting experience with including Compilation and Reviewed Financial statements, Consolidation

· 2+ years extensive tax compliance proficient with using Tax Software Package (e.g. UltraTax CS is highly preferred)

· Experience with 1040 individual, 1120 corporate, 1065 partnership,1120-S corporations and 990 tax-exempt organizations

· State & Local Tax (SALT) experience in all 50 states would be a plus – including multi-state return filings of income and/or composite tax returns for flow-through entities

· Identify nexus issues for state filings & related apportionment issues for specific industries (e.g. mileage apportionment for trucking industry)

· Knowledge of payroll, sales tax, property tax & franchise tax would be a plus

· Familiarity with Construction Accounting would be helpful

· Proficient with QuickBooks, a QuickBooks pro advisor is a plus

· Thomson Reuters WorkpaperCS and Intuits Fixed Asset Manager a plus

· Verifiable experience with corporations, S corporations, partnerships and individual income tax returns

· Microsoft Office Products expertise

· Strong problem solving abilities

· Exceptional references

· Willingness to accept additional responsibilities as directed by management

· Ability to manage multiple projects, set goals and track progress towards completion

· Strong verbal and written communications skills, both externally with clients as well as internally

· Self-motivation and drive
