We are currently searching for a motivated Technical Sales Specialist to drives sales in the Turf and Ornamental markets, through our distributors, national accounts, and local service providers. Duties of the Northeast Turf Manager include strong sales through our distributor network, public speaking, and training of distributors and customers while building relationships.
The ideal candidate should be a collaborator that can work remotely and independently in their territory. They will sell the products and equipment through our distributors and support end user customers with technical support and training. If you have previous experience in Sales, we would like to meet you. A successful Northeast Turf Manager will create new sales for Arborjet | Ecologel brands and support our distributors and build relationships to grow our business.
Responsibilities:
This person will plan and coordinate with customers, and our company, to develop and execute effective sales strategies. They are expected to foster strong, sustainable relationships with distributors, and end-use customers. They will strengthen and protect the brand by ensuring customer satisfaction and becoming an expert on our brand and competitor products, while communicating market information, territory performance, and trends as requested by management.
- Provides sales and technical support to distributors, customers, and prospects
- 20% overnight travel as the territory demands visiting distributor, customers, and events
Requirements:
We seek a team player with arboriculture, horticulture, pest control, or similar sales and technical experience in turf or ornamental, or related green industries. The ability to present and simplify technical information for large and small groups is essential. A BS/BA degree in a related field is heavily desired but significantly related sales experience, with demonstrated success, will be considered.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)
- 3-5 Years of Horticulture experience
The ideal candidate is an energetic initiative-taker, able to demonstrate a history of success with sales. Knowledge about Plant health care, Turf care is a plus. Knowledge of Salesforce or CRM is a plus but not required
- Ability to plan and schedule a month in advance and have the flexibility to change in moment’s notice to adjust to the business needs
