Description
The Technology Support Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively with the Technology Support team to provide high-quality technology and systems support to corporate users as well as Retail & Cultivation locations. They will be responsible for providing assistance to organizational associates across a wide array of technology and systems. This role will also be expected to collaborate with Information Technology colleagues on the development, revision, and implementation of the overall IT Strategy.
Location: Remote with up to 20% travel expected. Preference to candidates who reside in states of operation: IL, MI, OH, PA, MD, MA, NJ
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide level 1 technical support for all company technology and systems; including Microsoft 365 / Azure; internet services; telecommunications services; network and end-user hardware; point of sale and other retail systems; inventory management systems.
- Work effectively with technology support ticket system to effectively organize, track and execute technology support incidents.
- Contribute to ensuring support incidents are quickly assigned and ultimately, addressed across the entire Technology Department.
- Collaborate with Information Technology colleagues to develop and implement processes for knowledge sharing with IT Support team to enable Level 1 support on all technologies and systems.
- Assist in the management of user accounts as needed across all organizational systems.
- Deliver an efficient response to the user-base and reinforce the customer focus of the Technology Support Team.
- Develop, share and maintain a knowledgebase of technical help resources available to both the Technology Support Team and systems end users.
- Be on-call, work irregular hours, and travel (max 20%) as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years' business experience in an IT environment providing technology support to organizational users.
- Preferred experienced should include but is not limited to: Microsoft 365 / Azure, LAN / WAN, HPBX, Client-Server infrastructures and SaaS architectures, Retail systems including Point of Sale.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science. Will accept a combination of relevant work experience, course work, and certifications.
- Ability to work independently, on a team, and a virtual team.
- Ability to be on-call, work irregular hours, and travel (max 20%) as required.
