Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills? We have an exciting opportunity as an Underwriting Support Assistant where you'll play a crucial role in collecting vital underwriting requirements through various channels like phone, email, and business applications.
Join our team and expand your knowledge and skills in multiple areas, including data entry, transaction processing, and addressing customer inquiries related to new business applications. Your attention to detail will be essential in ensuring accurate and efficient handling of transactions within our underwriting business applications.
Class start dates are September 8th , September 22nd, October 6th, and October 20th.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Hourly Wage: $18.75.
- These roles will onboard, train and work remotely from home. Equipment is provided to perform the job.
- Temporary associates working 40 hours a week will accrue vacation.
- Employed Temporary associates will be paid Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving & Christmas Day.
- Temporary associates working up to 40 hours per week are provided sick leave through the use of personal time and may receive up to 8 hours of personal time, prorated based on the start date.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- We are hiring seasonal staff on the following teams:Customer Interview TeamPlace outbound calls to current customers to verify medication and conditions, insurance information, and previous coverage/claims.
- Answer inbound calls from customers that are returning previous phone calls.
- Read/speak directly from a script.
- Navigate through 2-4 computer systems.
- Underwriting Support TeamReview Medicare Supplement underwritten applications and pull cases from a queue.
- Place outbound calls to collect health information from customers.
- Answer inbound calls from customers that are returning previous phone calls.
- Use business knowledge to determine the specific questions that are asked, as well as determine a customer’s eligibility.
- Navigate through 3-6 computer systems.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Previous customer service experience and ability to create and build relationships with customers.
- Able to navigate multiple computer systems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively, work under pressure, meet deadline requirements, and make decisions about customer applications.
- Ability to demonstrate learning agility in key job functions, takes end-to-end ownership of assigned workload.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

- Medicare Supplement experience
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Insurance Industry experience.
