PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- To deliver all the venue find requirements to existing and new client accounts and be a trusted advisor to clients within this specialist area
- To provide the highest possible level of personal venue finding service to key clients
- To develop relationships across all areas of Reed & Mackay sharing best in class market knowledge of venue and event service facilities and providers and thus supporting clients’ key objectives in arranging events
- To ensure maximum revenue generation in all areas of Reed & Mackay Events while always ensuring significant return on investment to the client
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
As a primary client liaison of the Events Department, you will further the vision and goals of R&M by providing outstanding support across the US.
- To build effective working relationships and maintain regular communication with key individuals from all areas of the business
- To continually improve and update own product knowledge through targeted activities and attendance of familiarization trips, presentations and site visits
- To promote a professional image of Reed & Mackay Events to all clients and suppliers
- To attend all meetings both internal and external deemed relevant, participating, and contributing as necessary
- Training in all relevant Navan/R&M Systems
CORE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous meeting or event planning experience preferred
- Professional oral and written communication skills required
- Proficient MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills along with the technical aptitude to learn new technology
- Prior experience in effectively handle multiple projects/demands
- Ability to negotiate positive outcomes
- Basic knowledge of Cvent preferred
- Proven record with strong customer service skills
