Description
Our Utility Client in Pougkeepsie, NY is looking for a remote or hybrid resource for a 6-12 month right to hire for a WorkDay Technical/Functional Analyst. This is an immediate hire.
What is a WorkDay Technical/Functional Analyst?
As a member of the Business Applications team, our Workday Analyst is responsible for leading and driving technology initiatives within the Human Resources technology applications roadmap, primarily within Workday. The Workday Analyst functions as a Workday Technical Subject Matter Expert, partnering with the Human Resources department for prioritizations and solutioning within the Workday landscape. This role also has the potential to expand further to provide support for several Finance, Accounting and other related systems as needed.
What does a Workday Technical/Functional Analyst do?
- Partner with Human Resource business leads to align on priorities, develop HRFinancial roadmap and recommend & deliver technology solutions to serve the business needs.
- Provide support and guidance for troubleshooting issues in Workday, providing root cause analysis and recommended solutions.
- Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations. Provide support and monitoring for existing integrations as needed.
- Perform regressions testing for Workday Feature releases biannually for integrations and new features.
- Evaluate Workday releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the company’s use of Workday.
What does it take to be a Workday Technical/Functional Analyst?
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, candidates with an Associate’s Degree and at least 5 years of related professional experience will be considered.
- Equivalent of education and experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of Workday experience and a demonstrated understanding of Workday functional configurations and integrations.
- Experience developing, deploying, and troubleshooting integrations (inbound/outbound/custom webservices) between Workday and other systems.
- Technical skills to include: Workday Object Model knowledge, Workday Integration skills, Workday reports, Workday Security, Webservices, SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical teams as well as functional stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with both technical and end users (must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and orally, both in one-on-one and in group presentations)
- Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with other Workday integrated systems for general ledger, various benefits vendors, tax reporting vendor, training, and identity management
- Experience with union related configurations in Workday
- Experience with Financial and Accounting applications
